Hello,
Can someone please let me know if there is
an introduction protocol for these forums?
a FAQ for things like Adwords (as in why is NetTracker reporting far less referrals than Adwords reports for the same term)
a specific forum/course of action for new people like me?
Thanks and I hope to make a contribution someday!
Peter

hi Lmcpeos -
Welcome to the SEW Forums!!
1) your introduction post is probably most relevant in the Padded Room - our forum for off topic discussion and general banter. In fact, i've moved your original post there so you can use this thread to generally introduce yourself to other members - so to further answer that question and part of #3 -
please read the FAQ & TOS for the forums here:
http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/faq.php?
2) For specific 3rd party analytics tools like Net Tracker, you'll want to start a separate thread with details here:
Conversion, ROI Improvement & Tracking
http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=42
How to use analytics to measure Internet marketing strategies.
ask your specfic Google Adwords questions here:
Google AdWords
http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31
Learn about Google's PPC search and contextual advertising program here.
3) it really depends on what you're here for - if you're fairly new to SEM, then start with the General Search marketing issues area. but generally, the forum members will lead you in the right direction when you start asking questions.
hope that helps,
Elisabeth

Hi Elisabeth,
Thank you for the information. I have noticed some of the questions/discussions alraedy - I obviously don't want to ask questions that everybody has already answered tens of times!
Seeing as I have 1,001 questions I also don't want to be a pain...
A browse through the topics already on view is in order and I'll feel my way round from there. Thank you again for the information.

Imcpeos, you go right ahead and ask your questions. If it's something that's been covered well in another thread, we'll point you toward it. Never hesitate to ask!
