There is only one way to suggest a site and you have done it. There is nothing more you can do.

Its either been rejected or no editor has reviewed it yet.

Whatever the reason, I wouldn't spend time with it. Just move on

why dmoz is more important than other directories?
Google monitors for the sites visible on dmoz.. and updates its database. And as most of the traffic is from search engines and that too thru google. Hence, Dmoz is popular than other directories.

Think of dmoz like a black hole, stuff goes in, nothing comes out.

Thats certainly one way to describe it. Perhaps glory hole would be a better term :)

Don't do that.
my saying is not to use keywords in the title while submitting a site on directory. else the editors may treat it as spam.

Editors should and do routinely rewrite keyword stuffed titles and hyped descriptions. They aren't a reason to discard an otherwise useful website.
If a website is listable, an evaluating editor will either list it, leave it for later or send it along to a better category. Of course, if you suggest a guidelines compliant title and description, the editor will find it harder to use the 'leave it for later' option :D

And . . . if, my competitor reviews submissions to the respective catgeory?
