Hi:

Ever since my newly-professionalized site was launched 2 weeks ago by my web designer, traffic has fizzled to nearly zilch, and I have no idea why.

Here are Screenshot Statistics of my Old Amateur Site (high traffic):

Here is the URL of old site:
http://www.freewebs.com/eclectives/oldmonitorpain.htm

Did you do away with your existing URL at the time of the change?

If so, you are basically starting from scratch again, using a 301 direct may have been a better option on this to say that the site has permanently moved locations.

No, the exact same URL was used for the new site as the old.

After the new one was launched, I merely renamed the discontinued site as follows:
oldmonitorpain.htm (the professionalized one is now monitorpain.htm)

minni, why have you left the old page up? And how different is the content from the new page? Not the design - the content/text on the page.

Marcia, I finally figured out the answer to my own Q
(see below URL - which explains it all)

No thanks to my VERY-misguided web designer who, par for the course, steered me wrong by claiming that the reason for the low traffic was due to search engines spidering delay. The below demo is only a tip-of-iceberg example of the grief she has given me for months, never admitting to repeated careless omissions & always shunting blame back on me. This is someone who has many fans eating out of her hand, due to her flamboyant style of design and glib way with the words.
(Come into my parlor, said the spider... That's how I was lured by her.
