Hello SearchEngineWatch members,

I am looking for search technologies (crawling, indexing, analysis, personalization, clustering, presentation technologies, storage, etc). A client of mine outside the US is very interested in licensing innovative technologies to improve their portal. The more disruptive, the better. Please feel free to pitch my your company, team and solution. If you are in the San Francisco bay area I can meet you in person for you to show me a demo.

Thanks,
...FindMe

PS: I am not interested in SEO services.

I have come across something that may interest you at http://www.loopimprovements.com/ which basicly what I think you might be looking for. They call it a Net Research Server which contains the ODP recordset integrated into it, meta search and indexing, site search, search indexes, and another product for building public libraries of bookmarks that are fully searched indexed.

The software does not rely on external databases and is a self-contained executable containing the crawler, indexer, webserver, and application development environment. You can also use it as a provider of content through XML feeds.

I am playing around with their demo (1000 page limit) and it is not bad, this is like my own personal (really tiny) search engine with a pretty good spider too.

For those others who may stumble onto this, the demo comes in handy to crawl your own sites to check for spiderability problems. If this thing can traverse the site ... then others should not have a problem either. I have not tried it out on a dynamic site such as a forum yet -- but it would be interesting to see how that would come out.
