Trying to get a clear concise understanding on this part of my code:

google_ad_type = "text";
google_ad_channel = "";
google_color_border = "FFCC99";

In the ad_channel =""; part, does an actual set of numbers absolutely, positively NEED to appear in that spot? I.e., if not, it isn't generating any revenue . . . correct? Reason being, I am noticing this part is empty or void of any nuimber in many of my pages.

Feedback appreciated

Have you selected an "ad_channel" in the AdSense interface?
Are ads showing on these pages?

I'm generating revenue but have no "ad_channel" in my code at all.

Well, better question then, if that google_ad_channel has any significance at all to being in the AdSense code? Just wondering since some of my pages show a number in between the quotation marks & some don't....

as for selecting an "ad-channel" in the AdSense interface, in what part? I am not sure if I chose one. Initially I chose my actual link unit or ad banner & continued on and then copied the code . . . .

I checked with Google and google_ad_channel="" is OK!

Login to your AdSense account and follow these steps:

(1.) AdSense Setup tab

(2). Choose Ad Type > (3.) Choose Ad Format and Colors > (4.) Choose Ad Channels > (5.) Get Ad Code

If you don't create an Ad Channel in (4.) "Choose Ad Channels" your "google_ad_channel" will be empty.

If you see ads on your page chances are AdSense is working properly!

Do you see ads?

Hope this helps?
