Hi All,

I have a website: deals-unlimited.co.uk

This is an HTML based website. It has a PR 2. Now I plan to revamp the site an make it ASP based. The site is ranking fine in Google.

Now I have few queries:

I want to just keep the Home page in HTML rest all new pages will be in asp. I will be removing all my inner HTML based pages.
How can I drive my present traffic to my new pages with out effecting my present traffic. Do I use a 301 redirection. ( Can Somebody tell me how should I place it in an HTML based website )

Will Google penalize me for removing my HTML based pages & creating new asp pages as with many keywords my site is ranking.

& Apart from the usual Article, Press releases & link buidling how can I improve the traffic of my new ASP based pages.

Any kind of help would be good, because based on this I would move ahead.

Thanks
-MIKE

Hi Mike,

Will the ASP pages have the same file name and directory structure?
e.g. /product123.html will be /product123.asp?

Hi,

Thanks for your help guys. The structure of my new Asp pages would be different from the HTML ones I have now.

I want to redirect all my html pages to the home page of my site for that I want if some one can tell me how to use 301 redirection ( permanent redirection ) for HTML based pages.

Thanks
