PR Changes? Up or down?

Hello! Has anyone else noticed any major changes to the PR? I spoke with Adam a few days back who mentioned they just updated their PR...

I am the Search Engine Marketing Manager for a good size .com in the U.S... We had several of our nitch sites drop from 5s to 4s...

Even though we have lost PR in a few places we have had significant gains in the SERPs.

What I've learned - don't worry about it - especially since SERPs are the same or better - that's all you really need to be worried about...

I would say about 40-50% of our sites lost about 1 pr point - max - with no change in rankings - and some improvement. I honestly think this was more of a housecleaning issue for Google than anything else.

Think about it - a site has worked it's way up to a pr 7 or 8 - and honestly - who does Google actually give a 9 or 10 to - mostly their sites or VERY strong authority sites. By taking almost everyone down a notch - they lower the "curve" and have more room to give pr back to sites that really deserve it - without making them authority sites.

my 2 cents - but it makes sense to me!
