What is the safest way for SEO purposes to code my home page (www.mysite.com) in order to people from cell phones go to the WAP version of my site? (www.mysite.com WAP version) - taking in consideration that the URL is the same just the version of the page is different for cell phones.

You might consider detecting the user agent server side and directing wap agents to your wap url.
