Adding to the recent unfounded speculation of Google acquiring everyone under the sun, today we have reports from the NY Post (http://www.nypost.com/seven/05042007/business/bills_hard_drive_business_peter_lauria_and_zachery _kouwe.htm) and Wall Street Journal (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB117827827757492168.html) that Microsoft has asked Yahoo to reconsider a merger.
The two went down this road last year (see this thread (http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/showthread.php?t=11387)), but nothing ever came of it. It doesn't seem likely to me, but stranger things have happened. Does it make more or less sense for them to do it now? Who'd benefit the most? Think there's any way it would happen?
