Hi,

After doing SEO on a particular domain for a long period with good results generally accross the board, we now have a slight problem with the AOL UK only search and the excite UK searches. I'm not so bothered about the second.

The main hosted domain is a .com and has been for years but we also have .co.uk pointing at the same site and this has been set up for some time too. Under google, which appears to power the aol searches, we have no problems and even if you restrict the search to UK only, the site still comes up with the .com address. However, doing this on the aol search with uk only selected, the site is nowhere to be found, neither the .com or the .co.uk. We have in the last month changed the dmoz site to list the .co.uk domain instead of the .com but it hasn't made any different as yet unsurprisingly. I'm not even sure it will make any difference.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? The customer really wants their domain to appear under the uk search, so any info anyone can give about these restrictive searches would be appreciated. These days we do advise UK customers to try and use .co.uk's but this site has been set up for years, so they aren't keen to swap everything over so it is set up the other way round.

Any posts appreciated, thankyou!
