I have observed a few changes during PR update:
If there will be a change in the PR of a page then the PR of that page will dip to zero for sometime atleast(maybe 1-2 days) no matter how good the PR was currently for that page.
Also, in the Google Webmaster Tool, you will see ZERO in-links to your site during that period when the PR becomes ZERO on all data centers for the site.
The in-links in the Google Webmaster will start showing when atleast One Data centers gets some PR for the page. You can check this PR change in any of the tools(like http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/future-pagerank/).
