So came across this thread
http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/showthread.php?t=9564&highlight=link+title
it basically says that link titles seem to be of questionable importance at best, at least for SEO purposes.
My question is if it could be a good idea to mention your secondary keywords in the link title, and your primary in the anchor text, or will that confuse the bots as to what the links main focus is?

Add them anyway, what harm will it do?

Well that was my question...if I use anchor text for my primary keywords, and title attribute for my secondary, could it do me harm in the sense that it it will make it slightly less clear for bot to figure out exactly what the page is about?

IMO, your anchor text should match your page title and body text.
i.e anchor text > web hosting > title > web hosting blah blah > body > web hosting blah blah blah
I have never mixed it up like you have suggested but I do however, always mix up the anchor text - Type "seo" into google and look at:
ihaveawebsite-nowwhat.co.uk - observe how they use each

Thanks for reply...
I looked at ihaveawebsite-nowwhat.co.uk and was surprised when I checked the source code...I'm not saying they're doing anything wrong, but some of the code I don't understand the reason for: they're using 1 pixel images (with no alt text) to separate paragraphs, some of the larger images (like the google ad image) don't have an alt text, and they seem to use nested tables very liberally.
Especially this section seemed strange
<table border="0" width="99%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td width="100%"><font color="#00426B" size="2" face="Arial">
<b>What now?</b> </font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"><font color="#00426B" size="2" face="Arial">Here
is a list of my other services and articles you may find
interesting;</font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"><a href="free-search-engine-keyword-check.htm"><font size="2" face="Arial" color="#00426B"><u>Free

</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"><a href="seo-univsersity.htm"><u><font color="#00426B" size="2" face="Arial">SEO

</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"><font size="2" face="Arial"><a href="search-engine-optimisation.htm"><font color="#00426B"><u>Search
Engine Optimisation v Search Engine Marketing</u></font></a></font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"><a href="page-ranking/page-ranking.htm"><font size="2" face="Arial" color="#00426B"><u>Reciprocal
Linking Strategy</u></font></a></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"><a href="reciprocal-linking-strategy/index.htm"><font size="2" face="Arial" color="#00426B"><u>
Back Links Subscription</u></font></a></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"><a href="copyright-facts-and-myths.htm"><u><font face="Arial" size="2" color="#00426B">Do
you need to protect your website copyright? Read this page
urgently.</font></u></a></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%"></td>
</tr>
</table>
since it would look the same without tables...
Again, I'm not saying they're doing something wrong - they're on the first page for SEO and I'm not - but these things are counter to what little I've learnt so far :confused:
