Webmaster tools - showing no external links

Can anybody advise me? I have recently set-up webmaster tools for my own website. Google crawled my site on 28th March and still hasn't seen any of five external links to my site. Why would this be so?

Last week my site had internal and external links in webmaster tools, today it is showing 0 links.

Just be patient, G are prob experimenting with or changing builds.

I have 6 other sites using webmaster tools, and they all have their links listed.

My understanding of how google bot works is this:

It gets pinged nor notified through GWC and comes to crawl your site (or notified in some other way)
It crawls your site and makes note of any links OFF of your site but doesnt necessarily follow them
It could go back and crawl the domains of the outlinks whenever - today next week, next month.
I have been told but I'm not sure that INLINKS are NOT crawled when your site is crawled, they would have to wait until the site where the link comes from is crawled and then when THAT SITE's outlinks are then crawled.

Confused? Also GWC will not show ALL of the in & out links, most but not all is my understanding. They might not be giving your inlinks enough "juice" yet to make them show up.

Like the previous poster(s) said, be patient it will happen, it's certainly not an instantaneous thing.
