Hi all just a quick question, one of my competitors is beating me with a stick !
It looks like they havent done any SEO , no PR or backlinks, all i can see from marketing is being on Bebo , facebook and myspace , the sites have been running about the same amount of time, now because of my space they have got more members (this im not bothered about)
What does bother me is for the keyword "Tottenham Forum" they are 1st and i am 5th , surely this can be because of their URL can it ?
my site tottenhamhotspurs.tv
their site tottenhamforum.co.uk
Could some one please tell me what's going on or what i can do to help my self ?
There isnt much competition for this kind of site SEO wise, so i was hoping if i seo'ed mine the others would fall (which they have) but this one has just flown past me and i cant see why , apart from the URL
Thanks for any help that you can give me :)

Oh ive made more links to the forum , time is a bit short at the min so haven't really had the chance to do any more, do you think that is the reason why ? i mean he hasnt got any back links what so ever

Of course he has backlinks. Maybe your using the wrong tools to check these numbers.
btw, I still think you are in a good position here buddy! two pages indexed, you can't be bad to that :) I think you just need to devote more time into building links and being a little patient. I do notice that the other forum appears to have alot more posts
btw . . .
"link: www.THERESITE.co.uk" - the third and forth results are you talking about them here :)
p.s You realise that *tottenhamforum.com* is available?

Yahoo (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/advsearch?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tottenhamforum.co.uk&bwm=i&bwmo=d&bwmf=s) only shows a handful of links to your competitor's site, but looks like you're helping it along, RiverWire. ;)

Yes, quite correct, yahoo will give you more backlinks so test using both engines

Nowt wrong with abit of competition, is there? and from what I have seen of your site, its very attractive and you should have no problems in pulling in the members.. Good luck to you and your site.. COYS.
