Pay no mind to Ryan. Actually if you are located in the UK, you might want to outsource him to do your SEO, cause he is knowledable. He will get you more traffic for sure. How long have you been an SEO specialist if you don't mind me asking? Have you just gotten into the game? Gaing traffic and links is the business we are in. If you want suggestions I will entertain you. But it's takes work and time, and if you have money, I would consider outsourcing some of the work......... if you are on a fixed budget, it's long hours, many months, and waiting, if you cross your T's and DOT your I's you should do fine, here are some suggestions.
1. Go to a few confernces
2. Read this board every day with your coffee or tea.
3. Create great content on your pages.
4. Title tags, Title Tags, Title Tags,
5. Content i.e Pages, create lots of content pages
6. Submit your site map to Google, Yahoo.
7. Sumbit your url to DMOZ
8. Create PR
9. Create an interall affiliate program if you can.
10. MAKE SURE YOUR PAGES ARE SEO FREINDLY (GO DESIGN)
11. Submit your site to a few directories, few as in 8-10 reputable directories.
12. Ask relevant webmasters to link to your site, do not place recipical links to their site.
13. Link to a few reputable and relevant sites.
14. CREATE MORE CONTENT, ALWAYS CREATE MORE CONTENT.

I have not gone to the conferecnes yet there are in April SES is April 9th and Ad Tech is April 23rd. I am pretty excited to network and smooze with other techies and sales peoples..
