How to access Company Phone Directories?

I've tried all afternoon to find a database that lets me search for the names and work phone numbers for employees in business organisations.

For example, many companies list a general switchboard number on their website. This is a start but I'm actually looking for a database, I'm assuming hidden on the deep web, that would list the names and work numbers of the employees in a company.

I'm doing research for a conference on Mining Infrastructure, and I have to get a list of research contacts.

Any ideas on what key words I should use, or databases I could use to find a company telephone directory on mining companies in Australia?

I've never heard of such a thing and I doubt you'll find any one place to search various companies' directories. If you find one let us know.
