Program Manager, SEM

Overall Purpose:
To manage SEO and SEM campaigns for an assigned client base. The Program Manager will work either directly for a Client/s or in partnership with the Search Director as the practitioner of this service. The Program Mgr. is responsible for managing client expectations, Account Director’s expectations, managing SEM vendors, carrying out search engine positioning activities in Paid and/or Natural search, and understanding and achieving client goals and objectives throughout campaigns. This individual will also be required to frequently present to our Fortune 500 client base, both in person and over the phone.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Handling all day-to-day client interaction
• Writing/Summarizing and presenting client reports
• Creating and maintaining project plans to update clients on status of the campaign
• Understanding and achieving client goals and objectives through the customization of projects
• Strategy, Reporting, and Integration with other Carat Services
• Performing search engine positioning activities including, but not limited to, Web site analysis, Web site remediation consultation, search engine submissions and linguistics analysis
• Adding value and up-selling services to clients as needed
• Assistance with new business pitches
• Work on internal projects

Qualifications:
• 4 – 5 years overall marketing background
• 2-3 years experience in the Search marketing field required
• Technical knowledge of the Internet required (however, this position is not a Web development role)
• Tenacity and the ability to grasp and convey an understanding of the SEO and SEM process
• High degree of Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and other computer programs
• Strong client management and presentation skills
• Highly detail oriented with the ability to effectively multi-task
• Excellent writing skills and command of the English language
• Enjoy dynamic, ever changing, entrepreneurial and exciting environment
