Hi,

I have a question thats been bugging me. Say someone searches on a keyword and it brings my ad up but only in page 5, does this count as an impression for me or is it only if the ad is on the page visible to the client?

This will make a big difference to my search results since I am using my campaigns to target audience in SA and UK. The rankings based on my CPC per keyword means in SA i am position 3 and in UK page 5!!

Hi poenbek

An impressions is only counted if someone have actually seen the page that your ad is appearing on. So in your example, if you ad is on page 5 but the user never gets as far as clicking to page 5 this will not count as an impression

Cheers,

Wilko

When you think you are on page five it is not necessarily true... Google rotates the ads so they get seen.... your ranking number is the number used for calculating it's rank for being shown to advertisers... you could be shown every fifth time on page 1 spot 10 etc.
