Your PPC for Aff

QUestion: are you guys directing traffic directly to the merchant's landing page? Or your own site and then trying to get clicks on your aff links? On the one hand, you save a step in the conversion process, on the other hand your analytics aren't going to be as tight,plus you need your tracking code on the merchant's thankyou page. (Which, if you have the same aff manager with Azoogle as I do, doesn't get done despite repeated requests.)
