Hi I have just been assigned to do some research into making our company site SEO Friendly.

My question is in regards to our url and site structure I do not know if it is set up correctly I have never delt with this type of site structure before, so let me explain whats going on.

We run 4 Expos all for the same industry just in different parts of the country. We have our url: www.bestexpo.com This site has no title no discripiton and no content other than the links to these other sites ( I know this is not good)

The sites it links to are names as follows:

http://texas.bestexpo.com
http://california.bestexpo.com
http://washington.bestexpo.com

My questions:
Are these considered completly seperate sites?
Do I try to optimize for each site ?
Do I optimize this splash page?
What is the best way to set up thisfor search?

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Are these considered completely separate sites?
- They are considered as completely separate sites from Abilitiesexpo dot com.

Do I try to optimize for each site?
- In view of SEO, each site should be optimized separately.

Do I optimize this splash page?
- Yes, you can. After all, it will help you branding Abilities Expo independently.

What is the best way to set up this for search?
- Insert meta’s, title tag and alt tags (pls be careful for not stuffing keywords)…

This is the first time I have had to deal with these multiple sites and I just get concerned that the set up for these sites is done in the best possible way for search. Thanks for the assistance!!

You may also want to consider moving your HBX code to the bottom of the page.

Hi Beu,
Thanks for the advice. We currently use a CMS platform and I have found there will be issues with editing the code. But I will definatly move that code down, I know we can do that.

Have you optimized a CMS site before? Any suggestions on getting the content to the top of the page?

I work with various CMS daily. As for suggestions, provide great content that your potential clients will value. Use a unique title meta description tag for each page.
