We have been involved with a number of campaigns on Miva UK and the level of fraudulent activity is truly astonishing.
I'd estimate that 90-99% of the clicks come from nonsense sites carrying ad content syndicated from search engines (like this (http://www.ppcsearch.com)) that clearly exist for no other purpose than to generate fraudulent traffic.
It is a scandal that there are no quality controls applied by Miva (and some of the other search engines) to prevent this happening. We see many small companies wasting significant amounts of money on campaigns without any realisation of just how poor the quality of the resulting traffic is.
Anyway, just wanted to vent my spleen and encourage people to look at the quality of the traffic coming from their campaigns - not just the quality.
Interested to hear if others have similar experiences.
Simon.
