Just wanted to get peoples opinions of what's going to be big in the world of PPC in 2007? New tools? What have Google, Yahoo! and MSN got their sleeves? What's going to be a big win for you?

What do you mean "commercial intent"?

Check it out. Not that its working very well... but def. a good idea.

Microsoft adCenter can detect your customers' intention to purchase
products or acquire information.

For example, if a customer searches for LCD monitor, it is likely that
he or she wants to purchase an LCD monitor; therefore, the online
commercial intention is strong, with a confidence level greater than 0.5.

Webpage searches display two levels of commercial intention:
informational and transactional.

The Online Commercial Intent (OCI) demo calculates commercial intent
on a scale of 0 to 1. Any site whose score is greater than 0.5 is
considered to have commercial intent.

Hey Wilko, good questions...

I am looking forward to geo-targeting my Yahoo campaigns without having to base it on a brick-and-mortar location. I also am hoping that MSN continues to get more traffic and can really utilize their demographic targeting capabilities.

I also am looking forward to the Google and Yahoo pay per call programs coming out of beta this year...it may not happen, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

One thing I will be keeping my eyes on will be opportunities to advertise within the 'personalized search' space. I have a feeling that MSN will be first to this growing market, but Google will probably follow suit quickly.

What about you? :)

Thanks for your input, leftoverjoe.

Well here in the U.K Yahoo! is set to migrate our accounts over Panama in May/June (you guys tend to get these things before us, thats why I like to here your point of view) so we're pretty excited about that. As you know, the old YSM platform is extremely difficult to work with and I'm looking to all the new features I've been hearing out on here. The easier it is to manage the better our ROI will be.

I too am hoping that 2007 will be when MSN begins to drive some serious search volume levels. MSN has had a slow up take in the UK due to the time and effort being put into account not being rewarded with commercially effective volumes. If Yahoo! and MSN can proivde a little extra competition for Google this can only be a good thing for search.

One (or two) things I hope for in 2007.....an Adwords Editor (for me, the #1 innovation of 2006) like tool for Yahoo! and maybe even MSN?

Definitely! I would love to see a similar tool for these guys. I have been using the editor a lot lately, and I would save so much time using it with all of my campaigns across the big-3 engines.
