I've been experimenting for a while with Mobile text ads, and in January I finally started to see click volume pick up. Anybody else have experience with Mobile text ads?

See all those responses flooding in Abbott?

That about sums up everyones mobile ad experience.

Many things need to change before mobile ads make sense for many products and services.

I heard more than a few SEM consultants at SES Chicago advising us to steer clear of Adwords' mobile ads until they "got the bugs worked out." I had been thinking about testing them, but this, combined with the fact that the Adwords rep in Google's SES booth knew less about the ads and how they work than I did, made me change my mind.

I'm in "wait and see" mode right now.

That's ok, I don't mind. I'll just continue to test (and get clicks at 1/10th my usual adwords ppc because there's no competition.) But, don't ask me to define exactly what a click means :)

That's the problem... no one fills out a form on their cell.... best case is a link that forces a sales inquiry....

In spain does not work as in many other countryes. mobile adwords skin makes quite similar the ad to many links used on the pages so it gives a navigation path not natural. This may change

Agreed. That's why my mobile ad also uses a toll free 800# so folks can click to call. I'm assuming folks make cellphone calls from their cellphone. Actually, that's not an obvious assumption, I think many just text message. Ah, the testing continues :)
