What exactly is a "run of links" site? I have been told I should consider it now due to the age and pr of my site but have not been told what it is exactly :)
Any help is, as always, appreciated

Do you mean "run of site links?" If so, it means the links would appear on all the pages of your site.
I have been told I should consider it now due to the age and pr of my site but have not been told what it is exactly What you apparently haven't been told is that it's possible for a site to lose the ability to pass PR if they get caught selling links, and ROS links are about the easiest to catch.
If you want to retain the "trust" value of your site, then it pays to read the engines' webmaster guidelines, believe what they say, and don't do what they tell you not to do, such as participating in linking schemes to increase link popularity or PR.
