I have been having problems reconciling my adwords campaign stats from Google Analytics and my server log file and third party web analytics software stats. I am running serveral campaigns and observed that one of them attracted an unusual number of clicks and no conversion one day. I double checked my server log files to compare the results with the google analytics report and there was a difference of over 200 clicks costing me over $1500. The people at Google would like to convince me that my website received all the visitors. According to the server logs i did not have the number of people that the Google analytics report show vsiting the site. Does anyone know how I should pursue this issue? I have written to Google advertising and they said maybe I am not tracking all the clicks. Would'nt my server log at least be reporting accurately how many visitors went to my site? I hope someone out there can help with this?

Thanks

Did you at least show them a screenshot of your logs? If not, then you should, and asked them for an explanation.

It might not be relevant in your case, but one thing to do is reconcile any time zone differences between your server log and Analytics so you can be sure you are comparing apples to apples.
