Search Engine Optimization Manager
Currently looking for an SEO manager who’ll proactively integrate standard SEO practice within an Adobe Flex environment. This will require out of the box thinking on ways to integrate SEO standards with HTML wrappers outside the Flex/Flash environment. The job includes a great deal of internal and external client contact with light travel to the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
•Set the overall direction, strategy, standards and guidelines for SEO including continually educating and coaching department managers about SEO
•Apply Top-to-bottom management of SEO campaigns including developing meta tags, improving site URL structure, supervising SEO friendly page construction, creating SEO friendly content, creating target keyword lists, building internal and external links
•Translate multiple departments and Web sites business goals into successful search engine optimization strategies
•Perform technical site analysis, competitive/keyword research, and link analysis
•Collaborate to optimize various site elements, including site structure, link popularity, copywriting, page construction, site architecture, content and keyword research
•Work with department managers to improve site architecture for SEO and recommend content development strategies
•Collaborate with multiple departments to feed SEO-specific findings into broader online and offline media strategy
•Work with external SEO companies to maximize SEO Web site compliance
Qualifications:
•2+ years prior SEO and management experience is essential for this role; candidates who do not possess SEO experience will not be considered
•Specific technical web experience, such as expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, is preferred
•Understanding of user search behavior - Basic understanding of the mechanics of how search engines work
•Familiarity with search engine trends and algorithms.
•Ability to effectively communicate with internal clients and departments, particularly in the area of explaining technical concepts to those in non-technical roles
Experience Required:
--4-year Bachelors Degree
--Project Management Experience
--2 Years Previous SEO/SEM experience required
