Hi everyone. I'm looking for an alternative to SES New York - it's out of my price range. Any suggestions? My preference is for the northeastern part of the US.
Thanks!

It's not a conference, but SEMPO just launched the SEMPO Institute (http://www.sempo.org/learning_center/training/) - it's an online learning resource. You take the course, pass the tests and get a certificate of completion - plus a solid grounding in search marketing (paid and organic).
It went live yesterday.
Disclosure: I am a member of SEMPO, a committee Co-Chair, and yeah, I helped a bit with the training program. ;) That said, objectively, I still think it's a solid resource.
Maybe not as fun as a conference, but useful none the less.

Thanks for the suggestion, SportsGuy!
I actually found a couple of links to other conferences through SEMPCO - do you know anything about these conferences?

What do you need the most? To stay current, you can participate in the right forums and read the right blogs :)
I doubt if a conference can really deliver "training" unless there are attached workshops. Conferences are mainly for networking with people you have already met online. Lots of good tips are only shared in person.
