Hi Guys,
I am in need of some direction.
I have been asked to write a web brief.
Does anyone have examples of web briefs or any websites that offer examples?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Everton

I can only make a guess at what you're being asked to do which is this:
What will the website do?
(promote, inform, advertise, sell or all?)
Who will look at the website?
(customers, clients, candidates, friends?)
How will you get exposure of your website?
(SEO, SEM, PPC)
Who will make the site?
(in house developer, out source)
What technologies will be used?
(server os, programming languages, databases)
How will the choice of server technologies influence the design and use of the site?
(A LAMP server is easier to do SEO work on, is more reliable, etc)
Who will maintain the site?
(content management system for anyone to use, in house web-dev, maintenance contract)
How much will all this cost?
What are the targets and expected return on investment (ROI)?

I would tackle the questions in the order i've written them.
So, who asked for a website?
what do the directors want to achieve?
what do the marketing department have to say about it?
what does the sales team want from it?
etc etc
you'll be putting together a viability report and cost-analysis
eg - $7.77/month hosting or $750/month hosting (i've used both, for very different reasons)
When you get the data and summarise it, come back to a webmaster forum like this, post the basics and get advice about what to do next
