What would cause a website to suddenly begin receiving more traffic from non-US Google domains (google.com.xx) than from google.com itself? The site is a .com, based in the US, with English-language content.

Page translations
Google offer a free translation tool
Google do not see translated content as duplicate content.
Quick and easy content for an AdSense (or other contextual advertising programme) site is to translate a site from English into Chinese (for example)
However, not all the links get translated, so as the translated pages get spidered in china (continuing the example) the links still point to page son your site.
Either that, or someone's looking for a scam.....

Thanks for the reply, though I'm not sure I understand it. I've suddenly started seeing increasing numbers of visitors coming to the site from result pages at google.com.xx. Nothing about the the site has changed recently, and our visitor counts from google.com have not changed.
The behavior of the international traffic appears no different from our domestic traffic, and they are not making use of Google's page translation service, either before or after entering the site.
