1. tell me what is the limit of character and word for title, desc, keyword in yahoo, msn, google.
2.how much time we can mention the one keyword in overall one page, and where i can mention
3.what is SERP
4.site map creation is mandatory or not, if we dont create site map. then it will effect in our webisite or not
5.w3c validation should we do or not
6.a single page , for how many keyword should we optimize, like index page, and inner page
7 robots.txt is mandatory or not

1. tell me what is the limit of character and word for title, desc, keyword in yahoo, msn, google.
Title tag is the most important and is limited more by the browser showing the title... though 55-60 characters seems to be the general number for all three engines.
Description is not really used except as the description in the engine results in some cases... 200 characters is what I use.


2.how much time we can mention the one keyword in overall one page, and where i can mention
use H1 and other emphasis tags... first words in a sentence and paragraph helps a little too. I would limit mentions to about 10-15 times in 500 words.

3.what is SERP

4.site map creation is mandatory or not, if we dont create site map. then it will effect in our webisite or not
no sitemap no big deal if internal linking is good - otherwise you may miss chance for pages to get spidered and listed.

5.w3c validation should we do or not

I use 3 phrases per page

7 robots.txt is mandatory or not
not mandatory but I would make sure it was there.
