Viewing Google Mobile ads without a phone?

I'll be testing some Google mobile ads soon and was wondering if it's possible to see what's currently on there without using a phone.

I've found this site which simulates viewing web pages on a mobile:

http://www.mooobl.com/site/index.php?newURL=http%3A//mobile.google.co.uk/

but if you do a search on Google, no PPC ads are displayed. It must omit these.

Is there any way of checking competition and popularity of certain phrases or will I just have to get my phone out?

Great question - I made a couple of calls and am waiting to hear back if there is anything that will help with this.

I'm also testing mobile ads. Here's google's test site, but again it does not show ads. Would be great to get this site updated so we can check our ads without having to pull out a smartphone.
