I have 'the SEOBook' already, but am wondering, if any other book is worth a read, too (for people who got Aaron's book already)...

Aaron's book is good (or so I hear), and so is Mike Grehan's (so I hear), but until you actually and finally do a real live site of your own and try to promote it, it's just theory and nothing more than theoretical rhetoric and getting answers to questions for nothing more than content development - if you get my drift.

Yes, yes I know my ways must seem a bit strange lol...During october I didnt get to do much b/c I travelled to Paris and then moved out for the first time in my life..then it was mid-november and Ive mostly been learning html, been gathering ideas and recently...for the last 2 weeks Ive been trying to learn enough about hosting and server stuff, b/c on that other forum (webmasterworld) people told me I better learn enough stuff about it myself before deciding what provider to host with and who to register with...so Ive been doing that for the last 2 or so weeks (which I really found a bit tiring).....if I haven't registered a couple of domains by the end of 2006 I'll realize I'm trying too hard to do things thoroughly, though...but I hope I have chosen a host and registered all the domains I want BEFORE this year ends..and once I've finally done all that, I'll be doing almost nothing but adding content and doing actual SEO :-).

I really know this must seem a bit strange to most people, but those are just my ways, I guess...being really into researching and analyzing stuff before I jump into it...I know it might seem a bit exaggerated, but most of the time this approach or well trait really worked out well for me, because it often helped me avoid making a lot of mistakes I would have most likely made otherwise...

Im really not that much in theory, though...but anyways I agree I cant be doing theoretical stuff for too long anymore. I guess, I've got a new year's resolution, now!;-)

Having read SEOBook, I think you have enough to start with. As Marcia points out it is time to jump in boots and all and then with the prespective of experience you can look for another book that will resonate better.

Good luck and remember to enjoy yourself. This is a great industry and the work and people should keep you captivated.

Actually, I thought about that some more yesterday...and I guess it's true, that I got carried away a little..its not like I havent started at all, yet (SEO-wise)..ive already done the keyword necessary for all sites I want to start out with...but YEAH...I definitely procrastinated too much..and I won't start reading any other book before I have all my domains registered and am actually building and optimizing some sites! Unfortunately I havent gotten much further since last night, b/c I've got a sore throat and am a bit ill, but as soon as I feel better again, I'll make a point of not reading anymore and put together some sites instead ;) thanks for putting me back on track guys..
