I have changed a website from a static html site to using WordPress.
I am going to put redirects on all the old .php pages to the new wp pages
All the old .php pages have seo.
Do you think those pages will still be crawled?

WordPress uses one header file for all the pages and posts, so I can't SEO individual pages.

Thanks,
K

Provided your redirects are 301 HTTP Status Code, you should be ok.

WordPress offers some excellent SEO tools through various plugins. You don't need a static header to conduct SEO.

When the old page is permanently redirected, it ceases to exist and is replaced by the new page. Therefore, any onpage SEO on the old page, links from the old page, etc, will disappear.

Bots and visitors following inbound links to the old page will see the anchor text of the links they follow, but they will see the content of new page.
