When searching for the term "Google Base“ here I found very little comments.
Then i think that worth the energy to begin a thread on this topic.

My info:
B2B bussiness
Company with a catalog of 10 K products.

Problem
I have problems for indexing it (and hard to repair)

Possible solution:
Google Base has this motto "Post it on Base. Find it on Google."

BIG interrogation sign:
I am thinking about the possible bad things of posting my product catalog on Google, some are:

Why give a full database even with description of products by topics?
They will sell the data to the product competitors, comparing products easily?
Which is the difference between a B2B portal (Globalspec, Directindustry etc)?
I am more focused on the portals, instead of compete against.. pets or travel agencies?
Maybe now are free.-> how about the future? $$

I remember years ago how the B2B portals people ask for the same thing, about publishing the entire catalogs an then compare between competitors.
The answer was a 100% NO WAY.

You are invited to put all your thoughts, ideas, and suspicions.

If you as a Googler want to defend your employer, go ahead also.

Again my question (and please, some answers-comments will be welcome)
