I think that details of WebmasterRadio's Chicago SearchBash will be released after Pubcon, although it does seem like they're having one.

No news from other engines, although hopefully Joe will be back here next week to confirm any news.

This meeting will facilitate excellent networking and sharing of best practices from some of the industry's leading in-house search marketers. The event is open to all in-house search marketers, not just SEMPO members. The first meeting, which was held during SES San Jose, had over 60 attendees from many of the leading Fortune 500 companies.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an exclusive forum for networking, idea sharing, and an update on what SEMPO has been doing to help in-house search marketers. The SEMPO In-House Committee will host the event and requests your input for future initiatives.

Maybe you should be our SES Chicago Party guy Rob... or maybe I should take up the challenge :)Joe has been rather busy as of late, organising things for Ad:Tech and Pubcon. Our crime fighting moderation team is certainly on the case, and if unsuccessful, we'll bring out the big guns. I'm trying to organise some things for SES London and the LondonSEO Christmas Bash at the moment, although will help out where I can. I've got no clue about Chicago, so may not be the best choice for venue/party arranging.

You're more then welcome to use your contacts and help us organise some shindigs, the main hassle half the time is finding willing sponsors.

By the way, please try and take a photo of me sober this time (it's a hard thing to do, although worth it ;)).

As for the picture ...hmmm.... sober?? That might be impossible ... but I will definitely ATTEMPT to, problem is my camera tends to only come out at the bar and at parties, once the Mojitos are flowing... ya know that sober is the last thing anyone is! :p

Just a heads up to those wondering....I was tied up with PubCon planning last couple of weeks but have been going after my sources this week. I don't have much but there will be one elegant, swanky party in a very nice venue I'm told and it will be a public party open to all.

Sure beats last year's anti - party movement for whatever reason that was.

I am shocked that there is no event news yet!? Where's ask.com and what's up with yahoo? I am truly starting to think that this SES may not be the "networking" experience of San Jose and NY. I will keep up to see if there is any news, but the clock is ticking, and I propose...if nothing else...we should all at least get together and plan a place to hang for drinks. Any native Chicago peeps care to help?

We got four people doing coverage again. Ben wont be there, but evilgreenmonkey and cre8pc will be chipping in this time, along with Chris Boggs.
