Hi,

I’m want to know how we are going to measure ROI for service base web sites and products like housing site. No body going to buy house online but we can convert for inquiry through email or phone.

If any body using different techniques or methods to calculate ROI please let me know.

It is your decision what you deem to be a conversion. It does not always have to be a sale of a product and IMHO I would not use this as your success criteria. Instead you could look at the increase in visitors to landing pages and the interaction with the pages on your site.

There are methods for tracking PPC results by phone. This requires implementation of new systems and training. Web analytics software will also allow you to quantify sales made by email that involved referrals from a search engine.

I cannot really say publicly the agencies that provide this service, although it will become important for businesses to ascertain the full value of their PPC campaigns.

Basically, users are tracked via a unique refernce number created by the initial keyword. A user types this into the phone handset and low and behold the activity can be tracked.

Google has also been trialling pay-per-call for some time.
