As a new user, not sure if this is the correct Forum for this question - apologies if not...
Advice and recommendations appreciated for this new user, please.
Some may not agree (each to his/her own!), but I am trying to source what I would call an "ethical" search engine. In the face of Google's and Yahoo's antics in places like China (see Amnesty International's current campaign on internet repression), I would like to use a general search engine which doesn't compromise human rights and values.
I am willing to sacrifice a degree of absolute totality in a search - my compromise. But I cannot find any information regarding this issue.
Whilst many are happy to ignore or support internet repression by the big boys, there are many others who would prefer a more values-informed option.
Many thanks for any suggestions!
