Which hosting do you use? What is most important for you about hosting?

In your eyes, is it a serious advantage for an affiliate program, if it offers free hosting to all of the partners?

Please, advise.

Best regards, Seopharmacy

So what do you think?

General factors are service quality (functionality, speed) and availability.

For a content site, important is the ability to manage content efficiently - this is why certains ASPs offer content management systems like Mambo or Joomla.

Most my sites are split between 2 companies:

1. More expensive, less functional control panel, but great service (speed, uptime, etc) and support (respond quickly to enquiries). I tend to use this for larger sites that are making me money.

2. Reseller program - cheap n cheerful - pretty functional control panel, support is OKish but the servers aren't great - kinda get what you pay for - good for throwing up test sites or smaller sites (blogs, etc).

With regards your affiliate question, I don't think it would be a great advantage - most affiliates are pretty web savvy and probably have their own hosting companies (and would rather manage their sites within their own portfolio of hosting providers).
