Sorry, but I couldn't get an answer to this on the MSN forum. I set up a PCP account on MSN last Saturday. How long does MSN take to review your adds and get them up?

Thanks,

Kristin

Hi Kristin,

Once MSN approves your initial campaign, it only takes a few hours to see the switch from "pending" to "approved" when you add new keywords to an ad. Then a few hours later, your ads start to appear for those keywords.

They are trying to implement an automatic review system (AEVP), which is supposed to quickly approve changes and additions, but there is still a manual approval process for new accounts that takes about a week.

And, if a keyword is rejected, it can take up to 10 days to get it reviewed and corrected after you contact them.

So if patience is a virtue, I'm expecting sainthood any day now.

OK, now I'm really confused. I thought my adds had not been approved yet because when I type a search on MSN for one of my keywords, my add doesn't show up. However, I just looked at my MSN account and my reports are showing several clicks. How am I getting clicks if my keywords are not even showing my adds. I've checked every keyword, and it's not because I'm over my budget.

Thanks,

Kristin

How are you searching for your ads? What positions are they in and what is your daily budget? Are you doing a lot of refreshes to see if the ad comes up?

OK, MSN is wearing me out as I'm sure that I'm wearing you guys out. A few minutes ago I was a couple of pages back on one of my ads so I raised the bid price to get my ad on the front page. Now I'm searching for the keyword and my ad isn't showing at all. And no, I'm not over my budget. What's the deal?

Thanks,

Kristin

Are you refreshing a bunch of times?

No, just once. Should I be? Also, what's the deal with refreshing. Does your computer not automatically refresh itself periodically?

Thanks,

Kristin

All of the engines juggle the various ads so that everyone gets access and they have the chance to provide the most profitable mix for themselves.... thus you may not show up all the time.
