View Full Version : gender keyphrase components

I've noticed a trend for some of the main engines to not include URLS's which have a gender prefix occurring within the main URL now.

Example phrase: "girls hairstyles"
Giving serps that omit "girls"

The gender prefix seems to be getting few and far between. Are they writing indexable exclusions for this or is it because these sites are not "all else equal" in terms of link value/pop., navigational/structural optimization, etc.

Anybody have any thoughts?

You posted this comment in MSN search. Do you see this occuring there primarily?

Honestly I've been avoiding Google. With a drop in rankings, while increasing quality link pop.

Yes I did notice it mainly with MSN.

But looking at Yahoo, they seem a little more lenient with these in the secondary tags, anyway.
