Hello!
Just starting out there in this SEO world. I have been googling for this info, but the best place to find the answers IMO is from real people (albeit in a virtual way!).
So, what's the best software out there for SEO. I have purchased Dynamic Submission 2000 v7 and Advanced Web Ranking for small projects with my on-the-side website design business. I have looked at Wordtracker for ideas on Keywords. Are these the best progs to be using? (have already heard some people putting a downer on submission software, but not sure if that's a majority opinion....)

Thanks muchly. :)

I would say there's no need to submit to search engines these days, let alone do it with software.

You're best off spending your time building links to your site from other sites.

Spend a bit of time reading the forums.

Good luck with learning SEO.

if you are an analytical person you will want link analysis software.

also submit your site to a bunch of directories

think of a way to include a social element into your product or a way to make others want to link to you for free.

What do you mean by 'directories'? :) (I think I know what you mean, but...)
Sorry....

Sorry....

linking to my own site :) http://www.directoryarchives.com
also some are at http://www.isedb.com &
http://www.searchengineguide.com

the key is to get static text links that search engines index from a bunch of different C block IP addresses

I see. Thanks for those. But can you get listed without reciprocating? My client doesn't want to link to other sites if he can get away with it. :)

Just looking at a few directories. They all seem to require a fee. Are they all like this? (no such thing as a free lunch I suppose)

often times things of value have a price attached to them.

the risk of linking out to other sites to gain links and the cost of ones own time needs to be evaluated to really see how cheap some of the directories are
