Is going after MSN traffic a good SEO strategy? I have a 4-5 sites that are ranking on the first page and am not seeing any traffic to my site? Here is one of my sites that is ranking #1:

http://www.bestweightprograms.com
Keyword: Best weight loss program
Overture Searches: 69,393
MSN searches: 676
MSN Ranking: #1

I have been #1 now for 2-3 weeks, and have not seen any traffic at all? Any ideas?

I am tracking my traffic stats with Google Analytics and Webalizer on my Cpanel, neither one show any sign of traffic?

Is MSN a good SEO Strategy?

You are ranked #9 on Live.com at the moment, which msn of course redirects to.

Having said that, with the number of search performed last month on inventory.overture.com, you should be getting tons of traffic!

I strategy is mostly SEO for Google, and Yahoo, MSN will follow.

I am currently getting roughly equal traffic from Google and MSN, about half as much from Yahoo.

On a personal note, I quite like live.com. So perhaps more people will start using it.

Hmm?? I am still seeing that i am ranked #1 from my computer....this has been consistant now for 2 weeks....

Although that does raise a question as to why I am showing up as #9 on your computer...are there different data centers showing different rankings? I know google has different data centers does MSN as well? If so where can I check to see my rankings for me keywords across all data centers?

Any other thoughts as to why this would be?

Thanks,

BJ

It's probably because I'm in the UK.

Could either of you give me the link to set up an MSN account?

Kristin, I think they're talking about organic listings in this thread; but here is the link to sign up for MSN AdCenter / Live.com PPC program:
