Copernic Desktop Search (http://www.copernic.com/en/products/desktop-search/index.html) is out today.

It was very fast to search your desktop in the beta version I try this summer, but not very effective in web search. Note this was for the beta version and not for that release.

I install it and he is now using AlltheWeb for the Web search. It's better than the beta version.

News Editor Gary Price put Copernic's new Desktop search tool through its paces, and has full coverage and comments in today's SearchDay, at http://searchenginewatch.com/searchday/article.php/3401711.

Has anyone else tried it? Is it a good alternative to some of the other Desktop players getting a lot of press lately, like Blinx, X1, HotBot Desktop and others?

As I note in the article for Search Day, let's hope that Copernic adds the search functionality from their toolbar (where you can add any search engine) to CDS.
