Please help me out on this one.

One of my sites was added to Yahoo directory 2 years ago. Since then we changed URL and now the old site is doing a 301 redirect to the new one.

I contacted Yahoo many times but they are not updating the link. SO what we have now is our OLD site URL on Yahoo redirecting to the NEW site.

Should we leave it alone OR should we pay again and put a new URL on Yahoo directory>?

Thank you.

If you are using a 301 redirect by al means leave it. Next, buy a link to your new domain and you will have 2 yahoo directory links pointing at your site.

i think that would depend on a couple of things:

- is the old site listed in a directory category that's irrelevant to the topic of the new site?
- does your new site or company name have keywords in it that you're trying to rank for?

if the answer to either of those questions is yes, i'd pony up the $299 to get your new site listed in a relevant category with the correct title.

if the answer is no (i.e. old site is in the same directory cateogory that you'd want to submit your new site to, and you're ranking fine for your company name), then leave it alone. with the 301, the link juice is still flowing.
