I am having trouble getting my site (www.packetnet.net) indexed by google. I have adding my url into their database, and have submitted 2 sitemaps. Im not sure if my sitemaps are the problem or not. You can view them at www.packetnet.net/sitemap.xml and www.packetnet.net/ror.xml

When i do a site search on google, I only get 2 results, both my home page. I was wondering if someone could please give me some insight on why all my other pages are not getting indexed.

Thanks

Since your site is reletively new and VOIP is a heavily spammed niche at the momment, what you need to focus on is fresh content and links from trusted sources.

Theres no need to go ape crazy on link building right out of the gate. Search for 'Top Web Directories - Rated by ILQ' and make sure you have listings in at least 1-5 of the top 10 directories and then just give it a month or so.

Good luck,

And let us know how it goes.

Thanks, I will have to look into doing that. Is there anything wrong with my sitemaps though? Just curious on why I'm only getting 2 pages indexed on google, instead more.

Your Sitemap looks fine. The fact that you have at least one page indexed tells you that Google knows that you are there. At this point however, they don't trust your site (sometimes referred to being placed in the 'sandbox'). You have two options at this point in order to get google to trust you. 1) create quality content and get links from sites that google already does trust. 2) wait at least one year probably more for google to gain some trust for your site. I would advise against option 2 if you are planning on making money any time soon.

By posting my listing in those directions, does that help gain trust from Cisco?
