Have you created a Google Mobile AdWord?

I was about to set up a new campaign in Google, and I noticed that I could create adWords targeted to mobile devices. (I might be behind the times, so forgive me, if I'm excited about something that is old news.) Have you tried it? If so, was your campaign successful? What were some techniques and tactics that you used to make it successful? Also, I'd like to learn more about the mobile audience size and demo if you have any stats handy.
