For this role, MSN Canada seeks someone with a passion for online media and a deep understanding of search marketing to help bring innovative Microsoft adCenter opportunities to Canadian advertisers, media organizations and publishers.
As part of the MSN Canada team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, driving and customizing initiatives on behalf of the advertising sales team in support of the upcoming launch of the Canadian version of Microsoft adCenter. The Deployment Manager will coordinate the efforts of Sales Management, Client Service Operations, Trade Marketing, Product Groups, Product Planning, Finance, Credit, etc. to ensure cross team alignment leading up to the launch, and will ensure ongoing focus and initiatives to support the advertising sales organization post-launch. The successful candidate will be the Search subject matter expert for Sales.
Key responsibilities
Drive cross group alignment on all adCenter initiatives as they relate to the Canadian advertising sales teams, and lead Sales stakeholder groups in the gathering and prioritization of detailed business requirements for adCenter
Coordinate and facilitate forums required for effective planning, promoting and executing on adCenter initiatives
Leverage worldwide tools, materials and best practices to ensure relevancy for the Canadian market
Provide sales positioning of new product offerings and communicate key selling points to the sales team.
Keep informed of competitors and market trends (Internal and external).
Connect, represent & reconcile with other adCenter workgroups to ensure sales POV is represented across all business aspects and is aligned with other workgroup plans
Build and maintain relationships with partners to benefit the Canadian adCenter launch through formal and informal engagements
Persuade/influence work stream owners to strive for Canadian Sales goals and objectives
Ensure that senior management within sales are well informed of progress against the ongoing readiness plans and are equipped to make executive decisions
Work closely with Client Service Operations and platform planning groups to drive alignment of Sales Plans with Service & Support Plans
Represent MSN Ad Sales in the Search industry via events, forums, networking, etc.
Qualifications
Undergraduate University degree, preferably in Business, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years in online or media planning or media sales experience
Strong understanding of online search advertising and search advertising technologies and terminology
Experience in project or product management an asset
Proven track record in dealing with multi-functional teams, and ability to track and manage multiple issues/tasks at once
Working knowledge of media industry research
Ability to determine customer and market requirements; influence development of appropriate products, pricing, & inventory
Ability to think analytically and to set clear priorities, with very strong organizational, issue resolution, and decision-making skills required
Strong organisational skills
Strong communication/interpersonal skills and able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
Ability to be detail focused while maintaining a big picture mind-set
Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequently changing work environment
Passion for online technologies
Bilingualism is an asset
