Everyone,

Thought I'd share this out there and see if anyone else saw this. Friday, Danny Sullivan mentioned on his podcast that Google has definitely added the "site links" for companies under the top listing for many companies on Google (including sites under the top link such as customer support, products, etc.).

Now, this morning, I saw something else new -- and I personally don't like it!! I did a search for Dell this morning, and saw this result for Dell:

However, if I searched for other major public companies, like Apple or Microsoft, I did not see the same result.

So is Google pushing down our organic results testing out adding Google Finance results to the top of the organic results? Ugh. I sure hope they stop! Before long, all of the organic results will be "below the fold" and you'll have to scroll to see them!!!

Google has been doing this since a few days after launching Google Finance.

RustyBrick,

Thanks for the info. It's the first listing I've seen like that. Why aren't they doing it for all public companies? Is it still in beta?

Thanks for the info. It's the first listing I've seen like that. Why aren't they doing it for all public companies? Is it still in beta?I think it only works if you type in the Stock Exchange Symbol, i.e. Dell is DELL, Hewlett Packard (http://www.google.com/search?q=Hewlett+Packard) is HPQ (http://www.google.com/search?q=HPQ).

evilm is correct, it appears it is only for stock symbols. And in Dell's case, dell is a stock ticker.

Thanks to both of you! I guess I just never had to search for Dell before, and there aren't many companies whose stock tickers are their full name.

Appreciate the reply!
