Indexing in google is first step of web promotion of your website because it helps you to increse your site traffic.See now, my strategy would differ from that, since it takes a while for a new site to start getting traffic from Google. The quickest way I see is to develop sound sitewide and on-page optimization for MSN traffic, which can happen rather quickly, and build inbound links slowly and naturally over time to eventually rank with Google

I agree with you that it is rather easy getting index by MSN. But i would like to know is it possible to get index by google faster by getting a links from sites which are already indexed?.

I also would like to know what is the best method for getting indexed in google faster. Based on experience what steps one should take?.

sriseshan, getting indexed by Google and ranking for search terms are two different things.

Just my personal opinion: FWIW - sure, inbound links are very important and good ones plus good site navigation help to get a site indexed deeper. But whatever elements that establish a site's trust level need to be taken into consideration for success in the long term, and that appears to be more than just the sheer numerical count of inbound links.
