I am a big fan of wordpress, except for one fact -- I find it difficult to write posts online with Wordpress. I prefer using an offline program. My ideal program would be Microsoft Word, but I understand that there are many problems using word which might lead to the text looking radically different than I want. Can anyone recommend any offline programs which I can use to help me write posts for Wordpress? Thanks.
All the best,
Moshe

Use something like a simple notepad or writely or an html editor (wysiwyg).

What you don't want to use is WYSIWYG or word processing programs, in case extra characters get inserted. Just use a simple ascii text editor like Notepad.
You might want to check through the kazillion plugins available that can import text for posts from other types of files. Then you can do the posts desktop, upload to the server and import. Check at the Wordpress site for lists of plugins.
